How do i pay taxes for miscellaneous income

I work for a lady part-time in my home doing alot of cold calling and she pays me with a personal check and gives me a 1099. 2 years ago i had a job that i received a w2 so i could file both and i was eligible for a refund, but with just the 1099 for this year i wont be eligible unless i had taxes paid in so i would like to find out my options so that i can still receive the refund for eic.

If you have a 1099 and no taxes have been paid, you will more than likely owe taxes this year.
