Deduction question

My daughter is 20 years old and goes to college full-time. She just graduated from high school June 1. I was entitled to use her as a deduction on my Federal Income Tax w return, pursuant to a Court divorce order.

When she files her income taxes for 2007, can she still claim herself personally as a deduction and still be condidered a dependent to me? Or have i lost her as a deduction because she is now in college and receives income?

Also, the job that she had part time during christmas did not take out taxes. Her father is telling me that I can't use her as a deduction because she needs to be an independent filer.

Does that make sense?

Thanbk you for your assistance. .
