Claiming dependants

If divorced, can both parents claim children as dependents?

You both can't claim the same person. Your divorce settlement should have handled this, but if not try and figure it out with your ex. If you both claim the same ones, there will undoubtedly be problems.

Usually 1 parent claims children 1 yr, other parent the next. Check you r divorce papers to see if this was settled, most usually are included. 2 people cannot claim the same person.

No you can't both claim one child. If it wasn't coverered in the custody agreement than there are other guidelines you can go by. The child has to live with you at least 6 months out of the year and you must financially support the child.
