Do i have to file taxes even though i didnt work this year but won money from a radio statio?

I havnt worked this year but won money from a radio station do i have to file taxes on it and how do i do that(what form would i use?)plus i have a child i can claim.how would i do that?

I think you do need to file taxes on prizes that you win since they are considered gifts.

My brother's wife won a radio prize for a free trip to NYC and i'm sure he needs to pay taxes on that.
