Death of a tax payer, estate tax filing
My mother passed away in july 2007 her estate worth approx 131,000 will be out of probate possibly march 2008 my question is do i have to file estate form and also the regular 1040 for her for 2007 federal taxes?
also i am a resident of california and so was she what has to be filed for the state tax.
