No taxes filed for 2006

My husband left me in 06 and led me to believe he had filed our taxes together. I found out too late that he did not. He filed as married filing separately. I did not file for 2006 and now would like to rectify this and file for 2007. What kind of problems am I facing, or how much is this going to cost me? Would it be to my benefit to go to a professional to have this done or could I still do this on my own. I usually do or have done our (my) tax returns.

It is not too late to file. go ahead and file. unfortunately, there will still be penalties and fees unless you are entitled to a refund
