So I claim short term disability as part of my annual salary

Do I pay income taxes on short term disability payments made to me by our short term disability insurance company through my work.

Yes you do , and it should be for the amount you pay , the same as you were at work , so pay them taxs,

Yes your short term disability is taxable. What ever you make you will need to claim.
