Will my hubby get in trouble?

I am married but my hubby and I did not file joint taxes for the past few years. I have not worked for the past 8 years. My husband applied to work for the Irs in the audit department. They asked for my social security number and I want to know if my hubby will loose the apportunity to work for the irs because he didnt not claim me in his taxes.

Generally it is improtant to follow all normal procedures when filing for your taxes. Normally I would think that he would be fine. As long as both of you filed your taxes every year but the only difference is you didn't file jointly that should be fine. However, if you provided false information on the filing such as you are not married when indeed you were then yes that is a cause to worry.
