Just got married, never filed with husband before

I just got married this year and on my check stubs, my job was not taking out taxes for about 6 months, it has been corrected since then but I have 2 kids that I claim by myself. My question is should I file seperate from my husband because not enough taxes have been taken out of my check? And also will this hurt my tax returns for the year?

If you weren't having taxes deducted and you were earning a normal salary you are most likely going to owe taxes. As to whether you file together or separately with your husband is difficult to say. Run the numbers on both and see which makes the most sense.
