You could give this method a try.

If you head over to this site:

http://www.irs.gov/

You can get the info you desire if you click on the "Where's my Refund" link in the left column on the page. Follow the link on the next page, and you will need your SS#, filing status, and the exact amount of your refund in whole dollars to get your refund status

I filed my amended return in march 09.I just received my refund oct.09.Keep calling 1-800-829-1040or 1-800-829-4477 .Ihope this helps
