Taking gas or mileage off taxes

If you drive more than 50miles to a work site can you take gas or mileage off your taxes?

You can dedcut mileage if you are driving as part of your job. If the place you are driving to is your office and you work there, then no, you cannot deduct mileage. At least that's my understanding.
