Know, I mean 2006, the taxes she filed last year, I am not filing 2008 this year, but 2007, next year (2009) I will file 2008. But thanks for making sure that was clear ;-)

Ok, if she claimed her for 2006, then she filed them in 2007, if her husband claims for 2007 he files them this year, 2008, so however you want to put it, it just looks to me like when she says "Last year 2006 i claimed her this year 2007 he claims her" that she claimed her when she filed her taxes in 2007 which is 2006's taxes. Now you are confussing me to LOL

she could talk to him and see if they could split the rebate 50/50 perhaps, but otherwise he'll get the full amount

See, thats it now you both totally lost me, last year was 2007, this year is 2008, unless your talking taxes, then its 2006, and 2007 arghhh, my brain, either way LOL whoever claimed her last gets the rebate, and yes, I agree, it would be a good idea since this is a one time rebate to split it with each other.

But I'm sure she is talking about the refund things being sent out in May. Which means it is based on how you file in 2007 this April.

Lol. Right, the taxes that we are filing this year are for last year 2007. So whoever claims her on their 2007 tax return due April 15, 2008 will get the stimulus plan refund.

Whoever claimed her got the check, so if he claimed her, then he gets the $300 check
