SSI and FIP

Someone told me that i could still file taxes even though i receive ssi and help from the state in money form and food stamps, and i havent worked this year, is this true can i still file taxes and expect a return, i also have two kids to claim, any help on this question would help....thank you

Sorry, you can only file taxes on "earned income" which does not include social security, disability or unemployment.
