Is there a tax credit for installing a high-efficiency gas furnace in 2008?

Yes, there are after Bush signed a law back in October. The Energy Star site has information on it. Here's a link which will have specifics. You'll have to go to the IRS to download the form.

Sorry, I stand corrected. The law expired in 2007 and was renewed in 2008 for effect in 2009. You and I are both out of luck for 2008 as we did rennovations in 2008.
