Tax deduction

Hi there,
I am ready to donate for China earthquake via american red cross. My comany will also match my donation to the max of $1000. The question is my part of the donation, am I going to get tax deduction on this? What evidence will statisfy IRS? Thanks.

You just need to make sure that you get a tax receipt for your donation. if you have that, then you can legally claim the donation on next years taxes.
