My wife sends $6000 a year to hondurus for her mother and daughter, is there any way I can get a deduction on this?

Nope, not a thing you can do about it till they relocate to U.S. or Mexico.

That is considered a gift, so no, even if they lived in USA & you gave them 6000 to help them, it still would not be deductable.
