TAX Deductions

If i have a combined income between my daily basis job and a job as indepent contractor, What kind of expenses i can deduct? Can i deduct expenses as Car rentals, milleage, Car expenses? and what happend if this expenses are bigger than the amount received in my 1099-misc as independent contractor?

I would recommend you get some tax preparation software such as quicken to help you through this. but basically you can deduct expenses like rentals and mileage for work performed as a contractor for which you were not reimbursed. You can not deduct mileage as a contractor if its part of a normal commute.
