Lost 2006 W-2

I was sent an additional W-2 last year, but had already filed my taxes. Rather than send an ammendment I thought I would just file it this year with my taxes. However, I have misplaced it.
The company is no longer in business, so I am wondering how I would get a copy?

I suggest contacting your employer and request a copy of the W2. If you have a problem with that due to their closure may be you could contact there accountant. Unfortunately, W2 or not you’re still are responsible for reporting the income and you must amend the 2006 return to properly report. Good Luck!

Go into a local irs office and they can provide u with a print out of your earnings. you will need to file an amendment 1040x. Irs knows what year you earned that money. you cannot just randomly file earnings in the next year. it may even be against your best interest since ttl earnings minus any credits/allowances determines taxes owed
