Trouble obtaining w-2

I moved last year and neglected to give my former employer (breen's florist - houston,tx) my corrected, updated address. On feb. 14, i spoke with the accountant at my former employer and gave her my correct address, asking that she send me a copy of my w-2 so i could move on with filing my 2007 tax return. She informed me it would take "a couple of days", but that's now been 15 days and i still have no w-2. What options are available to me? I can drive the 30+ miles to their administrative office, but am trying not to do that. Thanks for your assistance.

It would probably be easiest to drive the 30 miles to go pick it up.

otherwise you could spend a couple hours on the phone with the IRS, and have to fill out additional forms, etc etc. here is more info on what to do if you decide to not go pick up that w2 and if they don't mail it ot you.

The easy thing to do is to drive that whenever you need a w-2. and if you can pick up one, that is ideal

if you can't get a w-2 like your employer is out of business. then you can estimate your taxes for the year with your pay stubs.
