Where is my refund

My refund was rejected when i did the eic rapid refund do to someone eles claming my dependents send in all info letting the irs know that the children have been in my house hold and sending in the nessary docments that are needed to prove that i have the right to claim my children i had to mail in my return wanted to see whats going on so far

Yes their father but he has not been in their lifes for years and they live with me and i care for them and their needs

You'd be suprised how many people ask the same question on here! It's very common. The article sid put up tells you exactly what to do - best of luck. Don't worry the IRS knows this happens a lot. You will get your return and he will get an audit and penalties :)
