Where is my Tax Refund?

Where is my Tax Refund? How long after i file my taxes will i receive my federal refund? What is the normal processing time or days? I did not efile - i sent in my taxes via snail mail.

It will probably take 4-6 weeks to get a refund if you mailed it the old fashioned way.

The IRS has a "where's my refund " tool right on their website.

Have a copy of your tax return handy, as it will have the information required to fill in online form, and it will tell you the status of your refund.
