720p hdtv?

I found a real nice jvc model TV for my parents with 720p, but it doesn't say it is hd. Under special features it say it is "no hassle hd with built in ATSC tuner and clear QAM. I seen the picture and it look exeptional for the price? Is this considered HD.

720p is the lowest resolution HDTV that can be considered High Definition.

This is a good question on the differences of what 1080i, 1080p, 720p mean and how it effects cost and the quality.
