Apple Safari picture browsing

When browsing through photos or images on Apple's Internet browser, the image I'm viewing skips back to the one I have just viewed. If I try to move on it just skips back to that particular picture. It does it almost all the time whenever I'm viewing pics on Facebook and the like...really annoying! Why does it do this? Is it because it's meant to be for Mac and I'm using it on a PC? Help!
