Absolutely. You need to get in touch with your service provider and request a history of calls and texts sheet. Your provider always keeps records.

Your provider only keeps records of dates and times calls and texts were made, not the content itself. Once deleted, all content is purged from the system, similar to a deleted voicemail.

The only reason dates and times are kept is for billing purposes, and those dates and times can be viewed online if you've set up an account; keep in mind that date and time stamps are rarely shown for text messages.
