Can i get my dvd player to work again in my computer?

Dvd player in my computer will not work. I lost the program. Tried to get it back but couldn't help

Have you tried to use the restore program it is in the accessories section under system tools pick a date you last knew that the dvd worked and restore to that point

The dvd player should have came with a cd that has the program on it which you can reinstall.
