Cant rip music from cd's onto my pc

I put a cd in the machine and it wont play and by chance when it does the recording in the cp has about 5 songs with a red x next to them that wont play

Is it one cd or every one? If just one then could be a problem with the disk. If every one could be a problem with the drive.

What software are you using to rip? Whatever it is, try something else. iTunes and Windows Media player can both rip, although getting whatever format you want the end files to be in can be a bit tricky. There are tons of others out there if you hate both of those.

I love my iPod I couldn't ever imagine living without it. Hopefully you can figure out what is wrong with your computer and fix it.
