Contrast Ratio

How important is a high contrast ratio? I can get a Memorex with 1200:1 or a Panasonic with 7000:1. Will the difference be very noticeable?

Depends on what you are doing.

if you are doing alot of detailed graphic design work, then yes. if you are anal about quality of your video games, then yes.

if you are the average user who wants word and internet and email, then no
