Do I need my Toshiba DST-3000 High Definition Digital Receiver ?

I have a Toshiba High Definition Digital Receiver, the DST-3000.
I have a Toshiba 50 inch rear projection TV. It gets HDTV when using the Comcast set-top digital HD box. I pay for that service. I do not have access to Direct Tv or Satellite. I have to use ComCast.
Is there any use for my DST-3000 ?

Yes there is some use for your DST-3000 , hook it up to comcast with HDMI cable and watch it
in HD
