I have a g1 and my contacts are gone how do i recover them?

I want to recover my contacts,the only way I can get to them is if I go to my favs and try to replace a contact . How can I get my contacts back

Try going to Menu > Settings > SIM contact importer to get them off of your SIM and into the phone. If you've deleted a contact, you can retrieve them from the G1 by going to your trash bin.

Finally, if you go to the Android Marketplace, you can get the Mobile Backup software and connect with your contacts that may have been uploaded to T-Mobile's servers.
