How do you block a number on a Iphone?

How do you block a number from calling you on your Iphone?
A number keeps calling me every two hours. The number is 8 4 7  6 3 7 - 0 1 1 4.
I looked it up on 800notes.com and alot of people been geting these calls too and its sounds like telemarketers. So how can you block this number on a Iphone? If theres more then one way then please list them all. They called me five times today.

I'm not sure if your carrier provides a way to block a number, but I know if you log on your account for Verizon, you can block up to five phone numbers from calling you, and I believe another five emails. You might want to take a quick look on your online account, and see if this option is given. Also, calling customer service may help you out. Although I'm not completely sure, I don't think there would be a way to do it with just your phone; it would have to be stopped with the carrier.

There are three ways to handle this, depending upon how much you're willing to spend to get rid of this annoying caller.

While AT&T customer service really wont do anything to stop an incoming call, you can sign up for Smart Limits for $4.99, which will allow you to block calls.

On the iPhone, you can create a silent ringtone (there isn't a native silent ringtone currently available on the iPhone) and put that number in your phone list under DND (do not disturb). At least then the phone won't ring when they call.

If it is a telemarketer, then pick up the phone, and ask them to be put on their do not call list. Contact the FCC if that number calls back, there are heavy fines involved in violating a do not call request.
