Question on Resolution on HDTV

I was watching my friend's LCD HDTV & noticed that TV Programs that were not broadcast in High-Definition were blurry.....my old boxy tv has a better & clearer picture than her expensive HDTV.

I was considering getting an HDTV, but now I am not sure. Is all Non HD broadcasting blurry on all HDTV's? I watch a lot of cable shows that are not broadcast in HD.

Thanks!

Yes, unfortunately standard definition will never look as good as a high definition picture.

Different TVs handle standard definition pictures better than others, so go check out your local TV shop and ask the salesman to tune in a standard definiton channel so you can compare different TVs side by side.
