I have a CT27G2V panasonic tv

It shows great for about an hour and then the picture goes out except for a thin horizontal line across the middle of the screen. I still hear the audio very well. Is this a major repair or can I repair it replacing a part. I have some experience with electronics and know the huge voltage capacitance of the tv even when off.
