I own a Horizon Fitness treadmill, Paragon II Model. It turns on and when I press start, the belt tugs a little, stops and does auto shutoff

The treadmill is still turned on and it says E1 on the middle of the front dash

Just got my daughters Horizon Advance 200 going. was doing the same thing(E1).
turn power switch off, then back on to clear error (E1).
Since standing on it flat footed seemed to be causing the error, WE re waxed/ lubricated the board & belt.(used an applicator wand & soft paraffin wax)
Now, standing flat footed - the machine will carry me , all 330 lbs. , right off the end. No lack of power now!
