Did you used to have it? Best bet is probably to figure out what sound card you have and then looking for a new set of drivers for it. If it came built in to the system go to the manufacturer web site and look to download the drivers they provide for the system. If you put it in yourself, go to the sound card manufacturer's site and do the same thing.

If you were to just happen to have the driver disc for the sound card, using that would be a shortcut. Just reload that. Otherwise try to download one, as has already been said.

Use system restore to restore back to a date that you had sound if that doesn't work you may need a new sound card
