Resolution from Games consoles on 1080P TV

Pretty much all Xbox 360 & PS3 games can display in 720p, with some games including 1080i capability as well, but very few to 1080p.

My question is if I connect a game that can display 720p & 1080i to a 1080p TV, will the TV display the game in 720p by default, because that is the highest 'p' scan resolution available.

No actaully you can change the settings for what you need.
the normal tri color cable cant support something that high. so for the 1080 you will have to buy the hdmi cable otherwise your stuck with the 720
and high def is awesome!
its so worth it
