Most likely you screwed up your videocard driver. Try to reinstall driver from your original CD. You can do this in windows by righclicking "my computer", choosing "properties", then "device manager" and finding your video card under "graphics adapters"
It could also be a very simple issue of you not having your computer set up to the right resolution, try to rightclick your desktop and choose preferences, here you will be able to change the screen resolution
