USB record players for christmas gift?

My dad has a ton of vinyl that he would love to have digitally. I found this usb record player and I was wondering if it was any good?

That turntable has sales rank on that site is #356, which means it's popular I bet.

You could upgrade your sound card if you wanted to, but install the turntable first to see if you really need the sound card. You might think about upgrading your speakers too, if you're going to play the MP3s from the computer, good speakers will make a huge difference:
