We have a converter box, it is installed right, the box will not program because the signal from Spokane is too weak. Under the analog system, the signal fade-out still allowed us to get ok reception, but because the digital waves drop off instead

The signal is too weak(digital). We did get o.k. analog reception because of signal fading, whereas digital signal drops off
(we have the correct antenna), we no longer get reception except for those stations which still have the analog. So, now what do we do. We don't have cable access and we canot afford satilite T>V>
So much for "progress". Any ideas for a solution?
