What is the best HDTV on the market right now?

I'm looking at buying an HDTV in the next week or two and was wondering what is the best TV out there right now that I can get?

I want to make sure it is a great High Definition Television that I can get some awesome HDTV Cable or Satellite feeds on. And be able to play my Sony PlayStation 3 on and watch the couple Blu Ray movies that I own already.

That depends on what you are looking for and what price range you are looking to buy a TV in

If money is no object I'd go with a Sony DLP a nice 60 inch or larger. I love my Samsung DLP great quality like Sony but a tad bit cheaper.

Just found this Sony on sale for about half the price http://www.onecall.com/ProductDetails.aspx?id=87152

The reason to go DLP over Plasma is because you want to use it for gaming and DLP's will not burn the image in like plasma will. Also you can watch shows and movies in any format without grey bar burn in. I think DLP's have a lot less problems than plasma's, plus they are half the price.

I would suggest along to go with your new tv that you get the HDTV package through your cable or satelite company. Also get the HDMI set up for the audio. It's so much better than the standard component audio. You can ask your provider hdmi set ups as well and for more information on hdmi go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI

hooking up your playstation should be no problem at all as all new tv's come equipped to handling gaming systems

What about LCD HDTV's, do they have the same non-burn in feature as DLP tvs do?

I've been looking at TVs as well and been looking at a couple LCD tvs. burn in is bad news. what a great way to waste a $2,000 TV.

LCD HDTV's do not cause burn in but they do have a tendancy to cause image persistance which is only slightly problematic and more an issue with computer screen LCD's than computers since a tv often times has more motion and less cause to have static images.

image persistance can be prevented and reversed though.

check here for more info on that. http://compreviews.about.com/od/monitors/a/LCDBurnIn.htm
