What is the best TV converter box that will qualify for the government coupon?

The FCC has to approve the ones on the market right now, so anyone of them should be good. Wilmington, NC will have DTV up and running on Sept 8th, as a test market to get the bugs out. If you have not already requested the coupons, then you know that they are only good for so long, so you need to buy it in that timeframe to get yor rebate. My suggestion is to go find look at the ones in your price range, write down the manufacturers name and then call them and ask what their return policy is if their product does not perform well, that will give you an idea of who is reputable. If you haven't requested your coupon, I would wait and request it in Sept. then call several electronic stores in Wilmington and ask what the best selling ones are and which ones are most returned. This will be a good guide to what is most compatable prior to the Feb 17th change over.
