XP Media Center problem

I recently installed a new hard drive in my computer and reinstalled my original operating system with system restore DVD's that I made before the switch. My system is up and running fine, except it will not recognize the tv tuner which is installed in one of my PCI slots. ( The computer recognized and used the tuner prior to this. ) When I start Media Center and select TV, it says "tuner not found." I have downloaded the original tv tuner card driver, but I still get the same message. I have even pulled out the tuner card and my audio card and swapped PCI slot locations, but even this has not helped. Please let me know if you have a solution for this problem.

Did you try uninstalling the HD and seeing if the tuner card is found.

you might have some conflict going on with ports or something within XP.

you could have messed up your card if you touched the brass prongs on the card or had some static electricity in you and touched it to some other metal grounded object , if you computer is not finding the new hardware it must not be a good card
