This is something everyone fears because saying I love you for the first time is hard and you worry that the person you love won't recirprocate it. Chances are if you've been together for 9 months he really cares for you and may love you too. He may be waiting for you to say it.

Saying I love you won't mess up the relationship not saying it is what messes it up. You have to allow your true feelings to come out.
