You simply have to visit the Archipiélago de Bocas del Toro.
The main town on the archipelago is Bocas del Toro on the southeastern tip of Isla Colón. The archipelago is off the northeast coast of Panama and is accessible by plane from Panama City, David and Changuinola, or by ferry from Almirante and Chiriquí Grande.
And for sure don't miss going to La Palma, literally a one-street town, La Palma is the capital of Darién province, home to Parque Nacional Darién.
I spent 3 weeks there last year, literally going everywhere, but those were my favorite!!
Oh, and if your going to be in Panama City at all, eat at least one meal at Restaurante Vegetariano Mireya. Vegetarian, but can you say down home "Yum!!"
