A couple of years ago, I stayed at the Moon Palace located in Riviera Maya, about 15-20 minutes south of Cancun. Their "standard" rooms come with a stocked refrigerator with beer, soda and bottled water that's refilled every day, a full-access liquor cabinet, a two-person jacuzzi, king bed, marble floors, and balcony. Almost all of the rooms have an ocean view. There are ten restaurants on the property, daytime and nighttime activities for adults and children, swim-up bars located in both gigantic pools, and a list of excursions that you can choose from, ranging from ancient ruins to a tropical day trip/shopping excursion to Isla Mujeres via party boat. All tips are included. Open bars everywhere. I was treated like a rock star, and I was told that if you did decide to tip the staff that you would be treated like absolute royalty. And it costs about the same as if you were to try to do this on your own, except that you don't have to keep opening up your wallet every time you want to do something/eat something/go somewhere. As a result, I am forever spoiled by this experience and will avoid taking another pay-as-you-go vacation whenever possible. Go to www.palaceresorts.com for details. And no, I don't work for them and never have. Go and enjoy.

I too would suggest an all inclusive vacation to Cancun Mexico. I went a couple years ago with my husband and some friends and we stayed at the Flamingo Hotel (all-inclusive). I loved everything about that place. The hotel is big but not too big, like some that are in Cancun. Its on the beautiful ocean with a white sand beach as far as your eyes can see. They had several pools and a bar you can swim to in one of them. Everything was inclusive and the restaurants were so delicious. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Flamingo is on the main strip, is one of the lower priced hotels, and is conveniently located across the street from Margaritaville, which was also a great time.

A cruise is pretty much all-inclusive and prices have really come down, if you are not traveling over the peak holiday times.
