I have been all over in NJ, but never to Atlantic City.

Why are you going - for business or pleasure?

i wonder if this compares to Reno at all, in terms of casinos and age of buildings?

Yes, I was born in NJ and have been to Atlantic City, most recently I was there in January. The boardwalk itself has been cleaned up and the hotels are very nice there. The gambling for table games is very expensive. Minimum $25 a hand no matter what day or time. The mall which is on a boardwalk out of Caesar's over looks the ocean is really worth going to. It has some really cool restaurants on the 3rd floor. And some great places to just kick back.

As long as you stay on the boardwalk you'll be fine.

Its really nice out there, lots to do with the kids and shopping for you, and the hubby could go gambling. But to enjoy the beach, you have to pay to get a pass ( aka button) thats the only thing that really sucks! Not sure how much they are I think it was like $10? p/b. But I couldnt believe that I had to pay to enjoy a beach! You would think Cali would do that, not NJ!
