How do you get to and from work everyday from where you live?

Do you take the highway?
Do you take the side streets?

Or are you dependent on things like public transportation?

Or are you eco-friendly and walk or ride your bike to work?

I personally, drive a mixture of highway and some of the major streets to get to and from work every day.

I walked for the last year or so which was great, but I had to move out to the burbs, so I drive a combination of streets and highways. I thought I would hate commuting, but I actually enjoy it because I can listen to my music and just have 15 minutes of time by myself.

If skoolie is out there -don't worry your not the only on that talks to yourself in the car. I quite enjoy a little conversation with myself - sometimes I even laugh at myself and that's when it gets weird:)

Heheh yeah talking in the car to yourself is fun! :P

I take my vw new beetle to work everyday. I like only 13 mins from work but with Seaworld traffic, I-Drive traffic and school traffic it takes me about 20-25 minutes.

But this gives me an idea. I wonder how long it would take me to walk to work? Maybe I'll get up early one day and try it.

I walk to work. Uphill both ways through the snow. not really up hill both ways through the snow. but I do walk to work. It is good to walk, get some exercise and do my part to clean up the environment.

I work from home - so no commuting for me. Do miss the social interaction of others tho.

I'm currently not employed however in the past I have typically taken the side roads vs. the highway. If I secure a job closer to home, I would most likely walk for the exercise. When I lived in Colo, I often road the bus to downtown Denver. That had it's pros and cons. Being able to sit back and relax the whole ride was refreshing as was the gas savings. The con was waiting in the cold weather and snow with already sensitive previous frost nipped fingers and toes. Oh and of course the encounters with a wicked bag lady when walking from the bustop to my office building. She'd start yelling profanities to anyone who wouldn't give her money!
