I don't think you can do it in a day, a week maybe, but not a day. as you have to mail your passport somewhere, they have to make you a new one and mail it back.

How to renew passport same day in fortlauderdale
I am traveling to Europe in a Cruise next thursday may 29. I just realize that my passport expired las april 2008. My son lives in Fortlauderdale. I would be able to travel monday if I find a place where I ca get the new one the same day and come back to Puerto Rico wheere I live. If not, I will not be able no travel I they will not give me my money back.
I would appreciate your answer. It could be Miami acause he works there.
