Loading a empty trailer with a fork truck

Is it a osha requirement to have a stand under the front of the trailer to brace it incase the dolly legs fail while loading/un-loading a trailer with a fork truck?

Yes it is required by osha and you havce to have the wheels chocked

I don't know about that but if your carring other peoples things then you have to carry insurance.If the legs fail then you pay out the butt It's a matter of safety Hind sight is 20/20 My brother in law ran long hall for over 20 years he never made that mistake.If OSHA has to investagate the accident and the owner wants this done and you didn't take proper precautions ,then you would be libale God forbid if someone gets hurt. See it goes on and on .Its not worth taking a chance.
