If you are traveling by car, I would put the dogs in crates, or seatbelt them in. There are seatbelt devices in the pet stores that allow you to seatbelt your dogs in, but give them room to move around. Please check with you Vet. to find out if you should change their diets. When I traveled with my dog, I didn't change her diet and she had no problems. I made sure she had enough to drink, but she would never eat when we stopped at the rest stops. All dogs are different, so trust your gut, but remember to restrain you dog for their own safety.

Yes you should travel safe with your dogs by use of crates or dog seatbelts. As long as you have them on healthy dog food you shouldn't need to change their diets just make sure they have adquate food and water and all will be fine.
