Overstay of Mexico Visa

I fly into Mexico from China on 10 day tourist visa to take a pre-paid tour of Mexico City, etc. Everything is good and all paperwork is in order. Along the way, I decide to migrate to the US (no visa) and stay for 6 months with a friend. I then migrate back to Mexico, head to an airport to return back to China. Forgetting the ethics portion, what will I likely face - if anything - at the airport when I attempt to return to my home country with a significantly expired Mexican visa? Do they question me? Ridicule me? Fine me? Imprison me? OR - just document the situation and forbid me a travel visa to Mexico the next time I might apply for one from my home country? Wouldn't they want me to return and not interfere further other than to note the overstay in my file? Isn't this what America does? But then again, Mexico does a lot of things different than America.

The only thing I could think of is you might have some problems flying out.
